Please read before you make a purchase

Hi! I am Nic, and I am the artist and human person behind Hireth Jewelry, it's just me, so if you send me an email, I am the one reading and responding to that email. If you buy a piece of jewelry from me, you are buying something designed and handmade by me. I am the one receiving your order, packaging your purchase, and shuffling my grateful little bum down to the post office to ship your new jewelry. I am also my own web designer, social media manager, accountant, and doer of all the other jobs necessary to keep my business running. I love being my own boss. All that said, I am learning as I go and I am doing my best, so please be patient with me, but feel free to reach out if you have any questions, issues or concerns. In the hopes of pre-empting some of those questions, here's some useful info to keep in mind when shopping my site:

All ring sizes and chain lengths are listed in the description of each piece, so please make sure that you know what size you need before you buy as I cannot do returns or refunds for a piece that is the wrong size. If you aren't sure what size you need, you can visit most jewelers shops and ask them to size you. (The paper charts that you find online are frequently unreliable and will usually give you an incorrect size reading). If you are in the Atlanta area, follow my instagram @hireth.jewelry where I post about pop-up markets, and I can size you there, and you can actually try on some things.

I ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meaning that barring any extenuating circumstances your jewelry will be on its way to you 2-5 days from purchase date. If for any reason I am unable to ship your piece within this window I will contact you. If you need your piece in a hurry please send me an email and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Certain pieces are made to order, it'll say in the description if this is the case, because of that the piece you receive may vary slightly to the image on the site as everything is handmade and therefore every piece is individual. This also means that I will need time to make your piece, so please allow an extra few days production time for me to make and ship your jewelry. I will send tracking information as soon as it is available.

Jewelry Care

Please be aware that you are buying a one of a kind piece of handmade jewelry, and as such it should be treated with care. Sterling silver will become tarnished over time, but with proper care your jewelry can stay looking like new. Included in your order is a polishing cloth that can be used to remove unwanted tarnish, don't rub your piece too hard as you will remove intentional patina, just use the cloth on the areas that you wish to be shiny or that have become dulled. When you aren't wearing your jewelry, store it in a jewelry box or an airtight container rather than just on your bedside table (unless you want to be constantly polishing it). Avoid contact with water and lotions, remove your jewelry before working out, bathing, hand-washing or swimming (definitely don't wear it in the ocean). If you are using lotions or perfumes, apply these first and make sure that they have adequate time to absorb into your skin BEFORE you put your jewelry on, as many of the ingredients in these things can speed up tarnish. However, if you forget any of these and your jewelry does start to get a little tarnished, not to worry, the tarnish will come right off and won't damage your jewelry. Should you need to clean or wash or jewelry at all, use a gentle, fragrance free dish soap, warm water and a very soft tooth brush, again don't scrub as you can scratch the silver and damage stones. Dry your piece thoroughly and carefully with a soft cloth (preferably not a paper towel) and store away from humidity.

Should your jewelry become damaged or be in need of repair, please contact me and I will assess whether I can reasonably fix your piece for you.
